Dark Brown Widgets are a no-nonsense unisex shoe in genuine leather, manufactured in Europe by the same factory behind the Norwegian M77 — a maker that has also worked with Dr. Martens and Rossignol.
The name comes from the neighbourhood in Tartu where the factory sits — The Widget Factory. During the Soviet era, the same buildings quietly produced refrigeration parts and submarine components behind a public front of umbrellas and zippers. Today it's home to studios, cafés, and the shoe factory that gave the building its name. Suitable for women, men, and children; for women's and children's sizing, we recommend ordering one size down.
