Widgets are a no-nonsense unisex shoe in genuine leather, built to NATO AQAP 2110 standard by Samelin — the same Estonian factory behind the M77 and a manufacturer for Dr. Martens and Rossignol. Suitable for women, men, and children; for women's and children's sizing, we recommend ordering one size down.
The name comes from the neighbourhood in Tartu where the factory sits — The Widget Factory. During the Soviet era, the same buildings quietly produced refrigeration parts and submarine components behind a public front of umbrellas and zippers. Today it's home to studios, cafés, and the shoe factory that gave the building its name.
